Reaching Out

When a model reaches out towards the audience, it creates direct mode of address. It helps create a personal connection with the audience and helps the magazine stand out on a shelf.

Power Posing

Aspirer audiences desire status. Using 'power poses' communicates power, status, superiority & influence through gesture codes. 

The model in this photo is using his arms to create triangles which helps keep the reader in the image.

Shot Types

Low Angle Shot

Low angle shots position the audience as lower than or beneath the model and positions the model as above (or better than) them, it places the model in an aspirational light. This shot type would work especially well with the target 'aspirer' audience as they would be most likely to 'look up' to somebody with status like and influencer or celebrity.
